Chelsea football club took on Aston villa earlier this morning evening in the English premier league at Stamford bridge knowing that a win will take them up to 9th position in the league and close in on an European place for next season.

Graham Potter side started with a front three of Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Kai Havertz in attack but they could not really threaten the back line of Aston villa and Chelsea ended up losing by 2-0 in front of a fully parked Stamford bridge crowd.

At full time the home supporters booed both players and management team but who really should be blamed for today’s loss at Stamford bridge

Although football is a team sports and everyone shares the glory when things goes well and likewise the whole squad gets the blame when things goes wrong but today’s game against Aston villa saw January signing Mykhailo Mudryk perform poorly in front of the goal and should take much of the blame.

For a player who cost more than eight five million pounds, his output in the first half of the game clearly betrayed the coach trust, twice he panicked when presented with a golden opportunities.

While many supporters will call for Graham Potter to be sacked, the major blame should be on Mykhailo Mudryk who failed to put Chelsea in the lead twice and produced little until his second half substitution.
