What Presnel Kimpembe Could Bring To Chelsea If signed

It was recently reported by Portuguese news outlet Ojogo that Chelsea are close in signing Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe. According to reports, the French club is close to completing the defender’s deal to the West London team in the near future.

It has been a successful season for Kimpembe at Paris Saint-Germain, as he has been the driving force behind a number of impressive defensive displays. Two goals and one assist in 41 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain on all fronts.

It’s fair to say that the 26-year-old is a powerful presence at the back after he averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, and 2.4 clearances per match in Ligue 1 last season. Even while spreading possession from the back, he handled the ball well, as indicated by his 95.5 percent pass completion rate in league football (stats via whoscored).

Kimpembe can make a couple good interceptions in the back by timing his tackles perfectly. Quick to react to danger, he’ll put his foot through the ball when necessary.

The young Frenchman is adept at playing his way out of his own half and making accurate passes. He’s primarily a center back, although he can also play left back if his coach requires it.

Chelsea’s defense will benefit greatly from the signing of Kimpembe this summer. We can anticipate him to provide a lot of bite and steel to Thomas Tuchel’s defensive line.

Kimpembe and Kalidou Koulibaly, Chelsea’s new signing, might create an outstanding defensive pairing at Stamford Bridge next season. If they can get their hands on the 26-year-old French defender this off-season, West London should expect to get their money’s worth from the player.
