Chelsea strong contenders for Osimhen

Chelsea are strong contenders to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, according to the Evening Standard. The 24-year-old is aware of interest from the Blues, who regard him as a primary target as they pursue another physical forward.

They believe the Nigeria international, who has scored 25 goals in 29 games this season, would allow them to compete with the firepower of Manchester City’s goal machine Erling Haaland.

Chelsea’s need is driven by a dismal season in front of goal. They have scored just 29 Premier League goals, more than only seven clubs in the division who all find themselves in a relegation battle. Kai Havertz is the club’s top scorer with nine goals in 36 matches across all competitions.

Arsenal pushing to sign Windstorm

According to SPORT1 reporter Patrick Berger, Arsenal are pushing to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s versatile midfielder Jesper Lindstrom this summer. Frankfurt is in a strong situation to keep Lindstrom’s services in the long run, with more than three years left on his contract. Nevertheless, the reporter suggests that Frankfurt may be willing to cash in on the 23-year-old for €30m, a sum that will undoubtedly pique the interest of any suitor.

Premier League & Bundesliga scouts eyeing Leicester’s Richards

Scouts from a number of clubs in the Premier League and Bundesliga, plus Holland and Belgium, were watching Leicester forward Amani Richards score twice against former club Arsenal in Tuesday’s U18 fixture, which the Foxes won 2-1.

Richards’ contract at Leicester runs until the summer of 2024 and it is understood the club want to keep him beyond his current deal. Richards has scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 24 games for the U18 team.
