Everton Set To Offer Iwobi New Deal
Everton have opened talks with striker Alex Iwobi over a new contract that will keep him at the club for a longer period according to The Athletic. Along with the 26-year-old Nigerian forward, they are also negotiating terms with Jordan Pickford and Anthony Gordon over their contract extensions.
Potter Wants Kane At Chelsea
New Chelsea boss Graham Potter reportedly wants to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane next summer and is ready to offer Romleu Lukaku along with cash for the English skipper reports Calciomercato Web. With Bayern Munich also interested in signing Kane, it will be interesting to see if the star forward stays at the North London club beyond 2023.
No option-to-buy in Spezia’s Ampadu loan
Ethan Ampadu agreed a loan move to Spezia late in the summer transfer window. Initially, it was believed that the Italian side had the option to purchase him at the conclusion of the loan. However, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that there is no such clause in the deal. It is, instead, just a straight loan between the two clubs until the end of the current season.
Kahn backs Nagelsmann despite poor league form
Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn said the club are “dissatisfied” with their poor run of league results but still have faith in head coach Julian Nagelsmann. Bayern’s 1-0 defeat to Augsburg on Saturday was the first time in 87 matches they had failed to score in a league game and marked the first time in 20 years they have gone four league games without a win.
Bayern, who are fifth in the Bundesliga, next host Bayer Leverkusen on September 30 and Kahn urged the team to respond with an attacking performance.
“We are not dealing with any other coaches now. We are totally convinced of Julian,” Kahn told Sky Sports on Sunday.
