Real Madrid To Renew Asensio’s Contract

Before his current contract expires after this season, Real Madrid will reportedly make Marco Asensio an offer for a new one, according to the Barcelona-based publication Sport.

The 26-year-old Spanish forward is presently free to sign a pre-contract agreement in January with another team, but Los Blancos want him to spend the rest of his career at the Bernabeu.

Liverpool, Manchester United, and Barcelona have all been mentioned as potential candidates.

Chelsea intends to make a move to sign Josko Gvardiol next month to put more pressure on Real Madrid in the race for his services.

Both teams are interested in the RB Leipzig defender from Croatia, although Los Blancos had intended to wait until the summer to make a move for him. Leipzig would also prefer to sell him after the campaign.

Chelsea, however, is impatient and the Bundesliga team is preparing for a Chelsea transfer when the transfer window opens in two weeks
