Thomas Tuchel could be set to unleash his dream Chelsea starting XI next season if Todd Boehly grants the Blues boss his transfer wishlist. The American-led consortium, who agreed a £4.25billion deal to buy the west London club on Monday, are expected to ‘push for A-list signings’ to mark a new era at Stamford Bridge, according to the MailOnline.

With the new ownership group eager to bolster the Blues’ armoury, The Telegraph have outlined that, after player sales are taken into account, Tuchel is set to have £200million at his disposal to strengthen his side. Though, the German is said to have put together a star-studded shortlist which totals as much as £264million, according to both CIES Football Observatory and talkSPORT.

According to The Guardian, Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku, Jonathan David, Darwin Nunez and Ousmane Dembele have been added to Chelsea’s summer wishlist of attacking talent. The likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Jules Kounde and Josko Gvardiol have also been heavily linked with a move to west London, with Tuchel keen to undergo a rebuild.

Speaking to football.london, the Blues boss said: “We are rebuilding, not improving the squad. We are rebuilding. This is always challenging, but we are up for the challenge.

“I don’t know where we are from day one. What I can promise is that I will be here – if I can promise that – I will be here with full energy and positive energy no matter what. We will still work for Chelsea, and I refuse to think of negative scenarios. We will be competitive, on which level we will see.”

So with that in mind, football.london takes a look at how Thomas Tuchel could lineup next season if Boehly gifts Tuchel his £264m transfer wishlist.

3-4-2-1

A more familiar shape used by Tuchel at Chelsea that has proved successful before with Havertz leading the line. Sterling, who is Premier League proven, would be an excellent acquisition. The addition of Nkunku could be a wildcard signing, with Timo Werner struggling to warrant his £45million fee when the Blues last bought from RB Leipzig for a forward.

A close-knit front three, as pictured above, will take Chelsea close to competing with Liverpool and Manchester City. Tuchel has a playmaker, a forward-runner with a creative spark and a finisher.

4-2-2-2

A formation which hasn’t appeared much at Chelsea under Tuchel, but one that proved successful for the German boss prior to his west London ventures. Very attacking, yes, but with a strong double pivot, if tuned to perfection, the Blues have a winning formula.

Though it be an unrealistic front-three, the principle of a midfield-three with a recognised number nine and Ousmane Dembele on the wing is an exciting prospect. Chelsea could have a wealth of firepower at their disposal next term
