Three Attacking Players That Could Help Chelsea Compete For The Premier League Title Next Season

Last season’s 12th place finish was nothing short of a disaster for the Blues but with the signing of new players and acquisition of a new coach, Chelsea are expected to fight for the premier league title next season. In wake of the aforementioned, let’s take a look at three players who can help Chelsea battle for the premier league title next season.

1. Nicolas Jackson.

New signing, Nicolas Jackson looks like a real good find for the Blues. After his impressive performance against Brighton in just 25 minutes of the second half, the 22-year-old looked like a complete forward with quick feet, capable of linking up or running behind to produce a confident finish expected from a No. 9 playing for a team like Chelsea. In just few preseason matches, he already has four assists and a goal for the Blues.

2. Mykhailo Mudryk.

Despite enduring a very sluggish start to his Chelsea career as he failed to score a goal and only produced two assists in his first half-season with the Blues, the Ukrainian International is expected to impress in the upcoming campaign under Mauricio Pochettino.

The winger however scored his first Chelsea goal in their 4-3 pre-season friendly win against Brighton on Saturday night. If his fine performance off the bench in that encounter is anything to go by, he would definitely do even better for the Blues next season and help them compete for the title.

3. Christopher Nkunku.

The Frenchman grabbed his second goal in as many pre-season games for the Blues with an instinctive finish in the first half of his side’s 4-3 win against Brighton and Hove Albion. Nkunku has been deployed in an attacking role by Mauricio Pochettino in the past couple of games and has looked to settle in quite quickly. He had scored in Chelsea’s 5-0 win against Wrexham earlier in the week and is looking to be the missing piece to his team’s game ahead of next season’s premier league campaign. With him in the forward line, goals should not be a problem for this new Chelsea side.
