The Summer transfer window will be very busy for Chelsea as they might need fresh legs ahead of the 2022/23 season. Some of their players will not be renewing their contracts with the club and they are already planning to exit the club this summer. Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku are six players that could leave Chelsea in the summer. Real Madrid are already finalizing Antonio Rudiger’s deal, while Pulisic could also leave after a disappointing season. Juventus are currently on Pulisic radar and could acquire his services in the summer.

Romelu Lukaku had a fallout with Thomas Tuchel because he believes that the German manager’s tactics is affecting his performance at his club. Despite the fact they have patch things up, Lukaku has continued to struggled in the club which suggests that Chelsea might be forced to sell him in the summer and sign a new striker. The only problem Chelsea will have in selling Lukaku is that the player still has a contract with the club till 2026, but Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are interested in signing him. He might decide to go to Bayern Munich as Lewandowski has declared his intention to leave the German club this summer.

Most of Chelsea’s defenders have been linked to Barcelona this summer. There are rumors that Christensen have already accepted to play for the Spanish giants next season.

There is no official statement as Barcelona are waiting for the summer transfer window to open so that they will start reformation of their squad. Barcelona are also interested in acquiring the services of Chelsea captain Cesar and Marcos Alonso. This means that Chelsea could be in the summer transfer window in search of defensive replacement ahead of next season. They have been linked with Pau Torres of Villareal.
