Middlesbrough Vs Chelsea: Head-To- Head, Kickoff Date & Time, Possible Lineup, And Stars To Watch

Chelsea will face Championship side, Middlesbrough, in their next domestic match after their impressive performance against Newcastle in the Premier League.
Thomas Tuchel’s side will be up against Middlesbrough who have enjoyed incredible success in the FA Cup this season.
Middlesbrough clinched successive victories over Manchester United and Tottenham on their way to the last eight of the competition.
Middlesbrough Vs Chelsea: Head-To-Head
Chelsea have played a total of 116 games against Middlesbrough in all competitions. The West London side clinched victories on 56 different occasions, tasted defeat 31 times, and settled for a draw in 29 games.
It isn’t a bad record for Middlesbrough against Chelsea but they would have to be at their best once again to get anything out of the game.
Middlesbrough Vs Chelsea: Kick-off Date and Time
Chelsea will take on Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium on Saturday, 19th March, 2022, at exactly 6:15pm.
Middlesbrough Vs Chelsea: Possible Lineup
Thomas Tuchel might decide to keep some of his key players on the bench for the crucial game. However, we still expect both managers to name very strong lineups.
Chelsea Possible Lineup (3-2-2-3):
Goalkeeper: Kepa Arrizabalaga
Defenders: Chalobah, Sarr, and Rudiger
Wing-backs: Azpilicueta and Alonso
Midfielders: Loftus-Cheek and Kovacic
Attackers: Lukaku, Mount, Havertz
Middlesbrough’s possible lineup (3-5-2):
Goalkeeper: Lumley
Defenders: Peltier, Fry, and McNair
Midfielders: Taylor, Tavernier, Hawson, Crooks, and Jones
Attackers: Connolly and Balogun
Middlesbrough Vs Chelsea: Stars to Watch
Chelsea: Kai Havertz
It is quite easy to pick out Havertz as the Chelsea player to watch out for against Middlesbrough. The German attacker has been in great form recently, scoring five goals in his last four Premier League games.
Middlesbrough: Balogun
The sensational attacker hasn’t enjoyed great success at Middlesbrough since he made a loan move from Arsenal some months ago.
However, Balogun has been a joy to watch on his good day. The 20-year-old attacker has scored one goal and provided two assists in eleven appearances for Middlesbrough.
That doesn’t seem productive for a player of his quality. However, Chelsea defenders would have to watch out for this youngster for most part of the game.
