Graham Potter Has Been Right By Taking Mudryk Out Of Chelsea’s Starting XI

Chelsea Head Coach Graham Potter has become a villain because of his attitude toward MykhayloMudryk.

Since Mykhaylo Mudryk joined Chelsea during the January transfer from Shakhtar Donestk, the Ukrainian Winger has dropped from the pecking order at Chelsea as Joao Felix, Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic are above him in the ranking.

It gets worse when Graham Potter refuses to bring on Mykhaylo Mudryk during Chelsea’s last League game before the international break against Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Having Mykhaylo Mudryk on the Bench, Graham Potter decides to bring Defenders and Midfielders against Everton while Mykhaylo Mudryk remained as an unused substitute.

The 22-year-old Winger started against the Three Lions of England on Sunday evening at Wembley Stadium in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers but, he was taken off in the 60th minute during the encounter.

Many Chelsea Fans took interest in the game as it involved 3 Chelsea Players, including Mykhaylo Mudryk, Ben Chilwell and Conor Gallagher. It was also a chance to see Mykhaylo Mudryk play against Elite Fullbacks.

Mykhaylo Mudryk’s performance against England on Sunday wasn’t all that impressive and Chelsea Fans have finally understood the reason why Graham Potter has dropped him from the starting lineup in recent games.

The Ukrainian Winger is lacking defensively. His recovery run is too slow and he’s not really enthusiastic about tackling and recovering the ball.

Graham Potter has made the right decision to protect Mykhaylo Mudryk by gradually easing him into action, instead of exposing him to vultures that will prey on his struggles.
