Marina Granovskaia set to leave Chelsea this week.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is set to leave the Premier League club this week, The Athletic understands.

Granovskaia, who has worked at Chelsea since 2003, will follow chairman Bruce Buck out of Stamford Bridge as the club’s new regime takes shape.

Chelsea are understood to be in the process of finalising her exit.

New co-owner Todd Boehly is likely to fill the void left by both Buck and Granovskaia when the key Chelsea duo depart in the near future.

Granovskaia had acted as Chelsea’s main transfer negotiator under Roman Abramovich in recent years.

The Russian-Canadian business executive took a place on Chelsea’s board in June 2013.

She was later promoted to chief executive in 2014.

It was confirmed on Monday that Buck was stepping down as chairman, having served the club since 2003.

Buck said it was the “right time to step down”, and was thanked by Boehly, who completed his takeover of the club last month.

The 76-year-old, who will continue in the role of senior advisor, had been chairman since Abramovich bought the club in 2003.

“I am proud to have helped Chelsea realise great success on the pitch and make a positive impact in the community,” said Buck.

“Now is the right time to step down and let new ownership build on the strong foundations we have in place.

“The owners have a compelling vision for Chelsea’s future, and I look forward to helping them achieve it in this new role alongside our incredible staff, players, coaches and supporters.”

Boehly added: “Bruce has led Chelsea to the highest levels of international and domestic football, while also developing one of the most active social responsibility projects in sport.

“We thank Bruce for his service and his commitment to the club
