DONE DEAL: Finally Chelsea Reach Final Agreement with Ousmane Dembele over Free Transfer Move

Ousmane Dembele is reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Chelsea about a move to west London.

The French winger has been linked since January as reports of his refusal to sign a new contract with Barcelona came to light. As he’s still only 25, and because he’s already worked with Thomas Tuchel when the German was in charge of Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, Dembele would be a huge coup for the Blues as they enter their new era under the ownership of Todd Boehly’s consortium.

According to the latest report from Mundo Deportivo, as cited by Barcauniversal, he’s close to reaching a contract agreement with Chelsea, with a free transfer to Stamford Bridge now looming large.

And to make matters that little bit more interesting, Dembele’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, has revealed that his client is still considering his client’s future and is not yet ready to pen a new deal at the Nou Camp if it does eventually come to that.

As cited by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, he said: “Ousmane’s future remains open. We are and have always been very respectful to all clubs and this will continue to be the case while the process is ongoing. When it is the right time to make a decision, Ousmane will consider the best option for his future

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the Frenchman in the coming months, but Dembele would be a statement signing for the new ownership as they look to put their stamp on Chelsea’s squad

Tuchel is the one who got him the best performance, at Dortmund, and loves him in his third season at Stamford Bridge.

The sale of the club is already finalized and Abramovich said goodbye to the fans, with which the club is financially operational again.

Ousmane Dembélé would be close to reaching an agreement with Chelsea to sign as a free agent once his contract with FC Barcelona expires, on June 30, according to the portal ‘www.90min.com’. The future of the French striker has been linked to the London club for months. It is not for nothing that Tuchel, the current manager, was his coach at Borussia Dortmund and is the coach who has made him the best performance. The blocking of the properties of the Russian Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea, by the British Government as a sanction for the war in Ukraine, however, has meant that Chelsea has not been able to carry out any economic operations in recent months.

Just yesterday, the sale process of the English club ended, which from now on can operate normally, with which Tuchel breathes and hopes to apply normally the transfer plan he had established before the sanction. Dembélé would be in that plan, with which they would end his skimps with Barcelona for a hypothetical renovation.

Barça, waiting for you

Barcelona still expects Dembélé’s agent to respond to the club’s latest offer, far from the wishes of the player, who has aspirations for a high salary and signing bonus. The Barcelona club even set a deadline for him to respond. Dembélé has already rejected all of Barça’s renewal offers in the winter market, despite which he has played in the second half of the season with total normality at the behest of Xavi. Another club to which he was linked was PSG, but the new technical director, Luis Campos, said a few days ago that they were not going to sign Dembélé.

OFFER TO RENEW
The Barcelona club is still waiting for a response from its agent.
Thus, all roads right now seem to lead to the Premier League, with an absolute advantage for Chelsea according to all indications, once the Stamford Bridga club already operates normally. Manchester United, in the middle of the reconstruction process, also showed interest in the Frenchman.

Abramovich’s letter

Abramovich said goodbye to Chelsea fans yesterday with this open letter: “It has been almost three months since I announced my intention to sell Chelsea FC. During this time, the team has worked hard to find the right custodian for Chelsea FC who would be best positioned to successfully take the Club to its next chapter.

“Being the owner of this Club carries a great responsibility. Since I arrived at Chelsea almost twenty years ago, I have witnessed first-hand what this Club can achieve. My goal has been to ensure that the next owner has a mindset that allows him to achieve success for the men’s and women’s team, as well as the willingness and drive to continue developing other key aspects of the Club, such as the Academy and the vital work of the Chelsea Foundation.

“I am pleased that this search has come to a successful conclusion. While I deliver Chelsea to their new custodians, I would like to wish them the best of success, both on and off the field.

“It has been an honor for a lifetime to be part of this Club. I would like to thank all the players, the staff and, of course, the past and current fans of the Club for these incredible years.

“I am proud that, as a result of our joint successes, millions of people will now benefit from the new charitable foundation that is being established. This is the legacy we have created together.”
