Chelsea returns to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth tonight. The blues got off to a fast start in the first half, taking the lead in the 16th minute thanks to Havertz. Mount then doubled the Blues’ lead eight minutes later with a wonderful second shot from outside the box.

The blues had few chances to extend their lead in the second half, but Travers performed well in goal to prevent Chelsea from scoring any more goals.The visitors didn’t create many chances, but Solanke had the best chance to score a late consolation when he glanced a header just wide.

The victory keeps them in eighth place in the league table, but they are now only six points away from securing a top-four spot.
