Chelsea’s Chances Of Signing Neymar Revealed Amid PSG Uncertainty

Chelsea’s chances of signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain this summer are revealed to be ‘pretty slim’, according to reports.
The Blues will be preparing for a busy transfer window in the coming weeks and months, as they look to compete on various fronts once again next season.
It is thought they will be keen to mount a Premier League title challenge against the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool, with the two sides being the only teams to win it in the last five years.
In recent weeks, Thomas Tuchel’s side have been linked with a sensational move for Neymar, who is said to be facing an uncertain future at PSG.
Reports earlier on Friday suggested that Chelseaare in pole position to sign the Brazilian winger this summer, with the 30-year-old recently completing his fifth season in the French capital.
However Ben Jacobs has contradicted this news, reporting that the chances of the Blues signing the forward this summer are ‘pretty slim’.
PSG themselves are believed to be open to letting their star player leave ahead of the new season, having signed from Barcelona in 2017 for a world record fee of around £190 million.
Despite this, Neymar wants to stay at the club but if he was to depart ahead of the new season, then it is thought that a move outside of the Premier League would be more likely.
Newcastle United have also been linked with a transfer, but there is ‘no chance’ of the Magpies bringing the player to the northeast of England.
Since his switch from Barcelona to Paris Neymar has scored 100 goals and assisted 60 others in all competitions, as well as winning four Ligue 1 titles.
While it now looks unlikely that they will sign the winger, Chelsea are still set to get their transfer business underway, and Tuchel is believed to have been promised up to six new signings this summer.
Many of the club’s targets have already been identified, with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele being linked for the attacking positions.
Jules Kounde and Matthijs de Ligt are also speculated targets for the backline, with the club looking to focus on using the window to strengthen their attack and defence.
Incomings will arrive this summer and the club have already started the process of outgoings, with Romelu Lukaku close to completing his loan move back to Inter Milan after a poor season back at Chelsea
