CHELSEA TAKEOVER: Why Todd Boehly May Miss Out On Becoming Chelsea New Owner

Published

on

According to several reports, Todd Boehly and Hansjörg Wyss consortium are hell-bent on becoming Chelsea’s new owner, as their original bid was close to £2.5bn.

Apparently, the American billionaires are expected to make it to the final shortlist, along with the likes of Saudi Media Group, Nick Candy, and Ricketts. Nevertheless, Roman Abramovich is expected to choose an ideal owner for the club.

Meanwhile, Todd Boehly and Hansjörg Wyss consortium may miss out on becoming Chelsea’s new owner, because of some circumstances. Of course, Raine Group is expected to consult with Roman Abramovich before making their final decision on the Blues’ next owner. Initially, the Russian billionaire always wants the best for the West London club, so he will definitely have his own say.

In all fairness, Roman Abramovich will definitely want to sell Chelsea to someone, who will agree to keep the club’s structure and key personnel like Marina Granovskaia (Director), Petr Čech (Technical and performance advisor) and Bruce Buck (Chairman). Meanwhile, Todd Boehly may not agree, because he will want to change the club’s structure and key personnel to his own taste.

Apparently, Thomas Tuchel is still at Chelsea despite the storms over the club, because he has a good relationship with Marina and Cech, so changing or losing them may propel the German manager to leave. The three key personnel are doing wonders at the club, particularly the director and technical advisor, so the Russian billionaire will want someone who will keep these people, because they are very important to Chelsea.

Without being sentimental, Todd Boehly and Hansjörg Wyss consortium have great plans for Chelsea, such as attracting massive sponsors, redeveloping Stamford Bridge, investing in the women’s team and the rest. Nevertheless, he’s most likely to miss out on becoming Chelsea’s new owner, because he may not keep the club’s key personnel like Marina Granovskaia, Petr Čech, and Bruce Buck.

In all honesty, the West London club may struggle under a new ownership, because there will be a lot of changes. However, keeping the key people at the club will keep the structure going, and there won’t be a lot of changes. Whichever way, Roman Abramovich is expected to choose a perfect owner for Chelsea, because he always has the club’s best interests at heart.

Would you want Chelsea under Todd Boehly without Marina, Cech and Buck?
