Chelsea players who could takeover Ngolo Kante’s iconic squad number (7)

Chelsea football club in the coming days are expected to bid farewell to there legendary midfielder Ngolo Kante who will be joining big spending Saudi Arabia club side Al-Ittihad on a free transfer, the midfielder enjoyed a successful seven years as a Chelsea players and in the process made the jersey number seven an iconic figure.

Once his deal is completed that jersey number seven is expected to become vacant and many of the first team players will be eager to inherit the squad number, below we look at few players who could be in line to takeover the squad number.
Christopher Nkunku. The exciting attacker is expected to join Chelsea this month and the squad number seven could be a befitting one for him, he will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his follow French international.

Raheem Sterling. The winger is expected to play a key role in his second season at the club and he could easily swap his number 17 shirt for a more friendly number 7 shirt to be vacated by Ngolo Kante.

Mykhailo Mudryk. The winger currently occupies the number 15 jersey but looks like he could be given a new with number eleven and seven likely going to be available going into the new season.
