Chelsea Joins The Race To Sign Leicester City Want Away Star Youri Tielemans
Youri Tielemans, who is out of contract with Leicester City’s Midlands team next summer, is supposedly in the running to join Chelsea.
The Foxes have been unable to persuade Tielemans to extend his current contract, which is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, while several of the top clubs in England have expressed interest in signing the highly regarded midfielder.
Chelsea seems to be the newest Premier League powerhouse interested in signing the 25-year-old virtuoso, with rumors circulating that he has no plans to extend his contract with the King Power Stadium team.
The Blues could emerge as underdogs in the race to sign the Leicester playmaker, who will be available for free transfer at the conclusion of the season, according to a suggestion made by CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs.
The contracts of Chelsea’s seasoned midfielders Jorginho and N’Golo Kante expire in the summer of 2023, thus manager Graham Potter faces a challenge in finding quality additions to his engine room options
