Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy Reject New Six Years Contract “ Says He Want More Money”

Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has snubbed a new long-term contract amid claims he has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Sun report that Mendy has been offered a new six-year contract to stay at Stamford Bridge for pretty much the rest of his career.
However, Mendy has snubbed the offer as things stand, demanding that he earns close to Kepa Arrizabalaga’s salary.
Mendy allegedly earns around £100,000-a-week whereas Kepa’s contract is worth almost twice that figure.
Mendy seemingly doesn’t feel respected by Chelsea and the Blues are thought to have withdrawn their offer to the goalkeeper after his rejection.
This situation doesn’t seem to be near a resolution and three clubs are now understood to be interested in the Senegal international.
AC Milan, Nice and Monaco are thought to be keen and Mendy’s contract stand-off comes amid some surprise Tottenham links too.

Chelsea stopper Mendy allegedly offered to Tottenham
90Min reported in November that Mendy had been put forward to Tottenham.
We’re guessing that, if this is true, it was by intermediary agents rather than by Chelsea themselves.
Tottenham stopper Hugo Lloris turns 36 in a matter of days and Spurs do need to think about who is going to replace him.
There is no clear successor at Tottenham right now and 30-year-old Mendy has allegedly been offered to Spurs.
Mendy is still under contract until 2025 though and it’s hard to imagine Chelsea doing Tottenham any favours.
Mendy has also struggled with the ball at his feet this season and with goalkeepers now expected to play out from the back, Tottenham could look elsewhere.
Links to the likes of Jordan Pickford, David Raya and Robert Sanchez certainly suggest that Tottenham are looking for a ball-playing goalkeeper.
Mendy doesn’t fit that bill and the £22million Chelsea man faces a tricky future heading into 2023.
