BREAKING: Date Set For When Chelsea Will Unveil 2022/23 Home Kit

Chelsea are set to unveil their home kit for the 2022/23 season next week, according to reports.

The usual launch of the home strip was forced to be pushed back as a result of sanctions placed on the club by the UK Government due to former owner Roman Abramovich’s claimed links to the Russian-state and Vladimir Putin.

It usually is released and made available in mid May prior to the final day of the season, but the club saw their £4.25 billion takeover by the Todd Boehlyand Clearlake Capital consortium only complete on 30 May.

On 16 June, main shirt sponsor Three were confirmed to have resumed all ‘marketing activities’with the club, continuing their £40 million-a-yeardeal with the Blues.

The club’s Head of Global Partnerships, John Rogers said at the time: “Following the recent pause in their activities, the Club is pleased to have resumed our work with Three and we look forward with excitement to the start of the new season, together.

“We would like to thank all Club partners for their support now and in the future.”

Now that the partnership has resumed, a date has now been set for when the kit will be officially unveiled.

As reported by Footy Headlines, the new home kit will be launched next week on Monday 20th June.

They said: “We have been told that Chelsea’s 202223 home kit will be released next Monday, on 20 June. It remains to be seen if the club’s new jersey will finally be released now after the release was initially scheduled to happen in May.”

The launch date hasn’t been confirmed by the club, but it was expected to be launched towards the end of June.

Chelsea will wear it for their pre-season fixtures in America when they head to the United States for their tour where they will face Club America, Charlotte FC and Arsenal next month in a week-long tour.

The away and third strips will follow, but Chelsea are now back to business as usual. Fans will be wanting signings to follow the kit launch

Targets have already been eyed by Thomas Tucheland the hierarchy. Work is being done behind the scenes as the new owners look to support Tuchel‘s rebuild.

As far as the kit is concerned, the wait is almost over.
