BREAKING: Chelsea have received a monstrous £2.7bn ($3.5bn) offer from Mohamed Alkhereiji The Saudi Media Group!

Chelsea have received a monstrous £2.7bn ($3.5bn) offer from Saudi Media Group, according to stunning reports.
Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports reports that the Saudi Media Group have made a massive offer after outgoing Blues owner Roman Abramovich put the club up for sale.
Mohamed Alkhereiji is a Chelsea fan and leading a private consortium, with no direct government links.
In another tweet, Jacobs added: “There is is support in finding funding and partners (but not financial backing as far as I am told) from Mohammed bin Khalid Al Saud. What’s interesting about Khalid Al Saud is he’s also chair of Saudi Telecom Company (STC).”
I can confirm Saudi Media Group have made a £2.7bn ($3.5bn) offer to buy Chelsea. Mohamed Alkhereiji is a Chelsea fan and leading a private consortium. No direct government links.

The Premier League giants have attracted plenty of interest since Abramovich put the club for sale.
Several American billionaires are rumoured to be interested in snapping up the club, including New York Jets owner Woody Johnson.
But they face competition from Saudi Arabia, with Saudi Media Group entering the bidding war for Chelsea.
The reason I say this is because STC couldn't be part of a consortium (without significant issues) and if Chelsea do change shirt sponsor it would more likely be NEOM or Saudi's new national airline. KSA's focus is to use sport to promote global tourism not MENA business.

Of course, Newcastle United became the richest club in the world after they were bought for £300 million by a consortium led by Saudi Arabian government’s sovereign wealth fund.
