BREAKING: Chelsea defender undergoes medical ahead of summer transfer move away from the club

Without much doubts, Chelsea football club will most definitely be looking forward to winning some more trophies under the management of Thomas Tuchel by the end of this season.
The West London club have been in brilliant form for the most part of the 2021/2022 season and have already won the FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Palmeiras last month.
But then, Chelsea failed to trim their first-team squad during the January transfer window and will be looking to offload some players when the summer transfer window opens.
And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea central defender Andreas Christensen is in line to leave the Stamford Bridge side on a free transfer next summer.
The 25-year-old Denmark International, who was promoted to the Chelsea first-team squad back in 2015 has been an important member of the team over the previous seasons.
The experienced centre-back was a mainstay in that Chelsea defence during the 2020/2021 season where he made 27 appearances in all competitions.
Andreas Christensen has also been quite influential for Chelsea so far this ongoing 2021/2022 season, scoring two goals and creating one assist in the 26 matches he has played.
But then, Andreas Christensen has less than five months left on his current contract with Chelsea and due to his refusal to sign a new contract, he is already taking steps to join a new club.
And according to reports from The Sun, Andreas Christensen is eyeing a free transfer move to join La Liga giants Barcelona when the summer transfer window opens.
The reports further claimed that Andreas Christensen is on the verge on joining Barcelona and has undergone the second part of his medical ahead of the move.
If signed, Andreas Christensen will now bring the needed experience in defence to help Barcelona compete for more trophies under manager Xavi Hernandez next season.
