Blues player admits, Chelsea are “far from where we want to be

It was a poor start to 2023 for Chelsea last night as they threw away an early lead to draw with relegation battling Nottingham Forest.
It’s now been just one Premier League win in the last eight matches for Graham Potter’s Chelsea, and it is far from good enough.
Sources: Chelsea looking at Atletico Madrid right back this month!
They played much better against Bournemouth in the first game back, but it was a short-lived bit of joy for Blues fans as they watched yet another poor performance from their club to add to many poor performances of late before the World Cup break.
Captain Cesar Azpilicueta played the whole game after getting a start in the absence of Reece James, and as always, he spoke to the media after the game.
Azpilicueta says that every point matters, but Chelsea are far from where they want to be right now. And if you ask me, that’s a bit of an understatement.
As reported by WAGNH, the right back said: “Every point matters, and today we lost two points, that’s clear. Since the beginning of the season, we [have] lost too many points. Now we are far from where we want to be, and every game you don’t win is a chance that you miss. This is the reality when you see the table, that’s where we are.
“We need to have a very good second half of the season if we want to achieve Champions League for next season. We have to stick together. We know this is not the most pleasant time, but in these difficult moments, we need everybody to stick together, to work hard, to improve, to be humble.
