Opinion: 4 Current Chelsea Players With
The Funniest Goal Celebration.

4. Jorginho

The Chelsea vice-captain came up with one of the most bizarre and funny goal celebrations in the 2019/20 season for Chelsea. The Italian is one of the Chelsea players who were always up for a prank against their teammates in the dressing room and this time, it was in front of the cameras. Chelsea Capt Cesar Azpilicueta had scored a goal and the players moved him in celebration of the goal. Jorginho joined in and when Michy Batshuayi came in to join in the celebrations, Jorginho made a funny gesture towards him. The Italian brought his hands lower towards Batshuayi’s lower abdomen and the Belgian striker moved away. That action from Jorginho caught the attention of some eagle-eyed Chelsea fans but Batshuayi was quick to play that down with a funny tweet afterwards.

3. Cesar Azpilicueta.

Azpilicueta is Chelsea most loyal servant, at least from what we’ve seen in recent seasons. He’s probably one of the few Chelsea stars who gives 1000% on the field of play. There is no question about that. But one time two seasons ago, he trolled Arsenal fans with his goal celebration at Stamford Bridge. The Spanish international scored to put Chelsea ahead of the Gunners and during his goal celebration, he brought out his tongue and it seemed he was teasing the Gunners faithful. Well, Skysports pundit Ian Wright noticed that and when Arsenal equalised, Wright did the same thing as a way of mocking Azpilicueta’s goal celebration.

2. Mateo Kovacic.

Mateo Kovacic came up with one of the funniest goal celebrations for Chelsea when he scored his first goal for the club two seasons back. It was a Champions League game at Stamford Bridge against Valencia and the Chelsea man scored the equaliser. It was his first UCL goal for Chelsea and he went ahead to celebrate it memorably. He placed his right thumb over his nose and wriggle his fingers. He later explains the meaning of his goal celebration to the media.

1. Mason Mount.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is probably the most creative player at the club. The 22-year-old is as creative with the ball at his feet as he is with his goal celebrations. Last season and the season before, Mount came up with some funny and weird goal celebrations for Chelsea. From ‘Frankenstein dance’ to some Anime action, Mount did them all.
