3 Incidents VAR Failed To Review That Have Cost Chelsea Two Trophies This Season.

Chelsea are one of the most successful club in England, having won almost every piece of silverware in football history.

Chelsea owner have been known that he dismisses under performing managers, as he sack 12 permanent managers during his reign as Chelsea owner, and many fans and Pundits believe that the success story of Chelsea, could be trace to the fact that Abramovich has been ruthless with managers.

The Blues were in contention of 7 trophies this season, but they have won 3 and they miss out of the Carabao Cup, the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League.

Taking a critical look on Chelsea’s chances of winning trophies this season, they have not been favoured by the Video Assistance Referee (VAR) in crucial encounters, as many decisions have cost them two trophies this season.

Chelsea’s clash against Liverpool in Wembley was another memorable moment, fans will not forget as Romelu Lukaku’s goal was ruled out by VAR in the 99 minutes, it was wiped out without a second look and this could have given Chelsea their first Carabao Cup title under Tuchel.

The game ended 0 -0 in full time and extra time as the Reds beat the Blues in penalties..

Chelsea could have gone beyond the quarter-finals stages of the competition and probably win the trophy they won in Porto back in May.

During their clash against Real Madrid, VAR failed to review 3 incidents that cost the Blues the Champions League title this season. VAR cancelled Marcos Alonso’s, over look Timo Werner’s and Kai Havertz’s foul in Real Madrid box.
